Dua Tram Bertabrakan di Sydney Tramway Museum

[29/5/16]. Dua buah tram yang beroperasi di kawasan Sydney Tramway Museum di Sydney, New South Wales, Australia bertabrakan pada Minggu lalu (18/5). Seperti dilansir dari laman The Leader, tabrakan terjadi antara KA 1904 tram lama Sydney yang kosong dengan KA 1054 tram eks, Nagasaki berisi 20 orang penumpang pada pukul 12.30 waktu setempat.

Menurut saksi mata, penumpang tram 1054 pada saat kejadian diperintahkan untuk pergi ke belakang guna menghindari tabrakan. Masinis 1054 yang melihat tram 1904 meluncur ke arahnya langsung menarik rem dan menghentikan tram.

Beruntung tidak ada korban jiwa maupun luka ringan dalam peristiwa ini. Diduga kejadian ini diakibatkan oleh tram 1904 yang mengalami kerusakan pada sistem pengeremannya. Namun akibat kejadian ini kedua tram yang merupakan barang koleksi museum mengalami kerusakan akibat benturan.
